Hello guys, and gals of the Destruction Legions
My name is Locutus a goblin shaman from the ranks of the Greenskins & i am here to tell you a few things about our clan.
The Apex clan on Karak Hirn server are currently open for recruitment, we believe in quality & not quantity to our clans success so mass recruiting is not an option for us.
Guild: we currently are short of Chosen, Zealots and Squid Herders but all classes and roles are welcome
Communications: We currently use Teamspeak 2 & run this on our very own apex private server, we will be upgrading to Teamspeak 3 when its is released in the near future.
ABOUT US:
Apex was created on December 1st 2001 in the massive multi-player online role playing game "The Legend of Mir 2 - The Three Heroes". And we went on to become one of the most successful guilds within the lands of Mir. Since Mir 2 Apex has grown from strength to strength setting up guilds in other online games, including Lineage II, World Of Warcraft and The Legend of Mir 3, Lord of the rings online, RF online, Age Of Conan & Cabal.
Apex have high standards for recruiting members with the belief that quality is better than quantity. This is one of our biggest strengths but as strength often comes down to numbers it can also prove to be a weakness. With this in mind we do tend to recruit higher level, and in theory more dedicated players into our clan. We also need to look after our reputation so attitude and character history as well as character level are taken into consideration with new recruits, among other things. Although a high level and a "clean" reputation is usually enough to get into Apex, more is needed to remain in our clan.
We pride ourselves on being a mature, respected and respectful guild. While you wear the Apex name you do not represent just yourself but your guild and clan too. Apex is renowned for its professional behaviour and attitude to what is essentially a game. We do play for fun but do expect a level of professionalism from our members.
There is no I in team and likewise there is no I in Apex. Our clan and guilds within it have achieved what they have through dedication, determination, organization and above all teamwork. We pride ourselves on the sacrifices we are willing and have been willing to make for each other. Alone our members have proven they are a force to be reckoned with but when together we still to this day surprise ourselves. Since Apex's creation we have achieved many great feats. Some of our proudest moments include a 118 day reign over SabukWall in Mir 2, an 11 month reign over DesertMudWall in Mir 3, being first guild in Europe to defeat Tadanga in Mir 3 and being the first Cora guild formed on our server in RF Online.
As a rule our style of play is on the side of good, we fight against any evil we see, be it a mob or a player. We often, at times, go out of our way to go against PKing groups and have kill on sight lists for the worst players we cross paths with. However, we try to sort out our differences between other guilds/players diplomatically before resorting to fighting. Obviously our approach and style of play will vary from game to game due to differing game mechanics, communities and many other factors. However, as our motto suggests, we will always prefer the role of the hero over the role of the villain.
Due to the confusion and problems that come with account sharing we are, in most cases, against it and it is likely that a new recruit will be asked whether they share or not before they join. It is not a definite no to account sharers, each case will be looked at individually, but in general we prefer players that do not share.
In addition to our general rules with regard to the clan we also have rules and requirements set for each guild. The rules and requirements are set and changed at the Guild Leader's discretion and how strict the requirements are dealt with is also. It is not uncommon for a player to be allowed into guild even if they fall below the requirements, being recommended by a current member is the most likely reason for this happening.
We do our best to not only to be a strong guild but also to be a strong community. Many long-term friendships have been made while being a part of Apex and we hope many more will be in the future. To keep a sense of community alive we encourage members to use our private forum regularly and take part in the many guild hunts and events we organise whenever possible. We also have real life meet-ups on a fairly regular basis and have dedicated Apex Teamspeak and Ventrillo servers setup. As a member of one of our guilds entry into any of our other guilds will be favoured, but not necessarily guaranteed.
Apex do not discriminate against any nationality, religion, sex, or age group and people from all backgrounds are welcome in our clan. However, being predominately from the UK we prefer if our members are able to speak English. Time zones can be a problem for members that live elsewhere but with a large number of hardcore players you should never find yourself alone.
